SOME STUFF.

DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN, OH SHIT!

There's a lot more done, but I'd rather save the nicer things to be discovered during game-play.

Update

This is, to some extent, what our City Street is going to be. The sidewalks themselves have not been textured as of yet. The streets just need the actual textures we are going to implement in Unity. After this object is textured, we will start stacking the buildings and assets on top of this.

THESE TREES ARE LEGIT.

Check out these trees, man. Not bad for my first time, right? Riiight? You could do better your first time? Yeah, right. Keep telling yourself that. I'm gonna go pump out some more bomb-ass environment stuff.

THESE ARE THE BEGINNINGS OF OUR ENVIRONMENT ITEMS, YO. CHECK IT.'

So far I've made (going from top down) a hatchback, a bus, a coupe, cement road blocks, caution signs, and metal road blocks. All our elements will have texture to help express how roughed up and damaged our environment is (you can probably already make out some of that in the models themselves).

Models that are underway include:
a toppled semitruck, a pickup truck, a van, an SUV, some bent road signs, and stoplights. These are already started... if I can crank out my shitty maya homework fast enough they should be done by monday.

Street Mock Up

This is just a simple street mock-up. The open area will be taken up by buildings and such. We will have closed off sections throughout the city, but enough where you can still explore and see many different things

The Pitch

Our pitch is to create a post-apocalyptic third person game in which we are trying to incorporate the color scheme and style of recent legend of zelda games into a darksider kind of environment with those heavy strokes that Borderlands uses. The character we set into this world is walking through the level trying to see what caused this chaos.

some references we are using are

Our main character is going to have woken up, he will be in this room and will exit the world. There will be creatures that have survived the apocalypse and have been changed by the environments and elements around them. At the end of the level we will discover what happened to this world.
